International Aviation

We advise and represent foreign air carriers, freight forwarders and other operators of aircraft in regulatory and enforcement matters conducted by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other federal agencies with jurisdiction over aviation matters.​

The scope of our services and experience includes:

  • ​Representing foreign air carriers in U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory proceedings, including international aviation permit applications, route requests and code-sharing agreements.

  • Representing freight forwarders and air carriers in FAA hazardous materials enforcement proceedings.

  • Representing foreign airlines in DOT consumer protection proceedings.

  • Obtaining export licenses and other required permits for private aircraft to conduct operations to and from sanctioned countries, including overflights.

  • Representing aircraft leasing companies and airlines in drafting trade controls clauses in leasing agreements, and on compliance issues under those clauses.
